A Great Place to Say Farwell

At Burnage Rugby Club we want to make it as easy as possible for you, and the flexibility that this place offers is like no other.

Planning a funeral is always a difficult time. Of all the events that you organise in life, this is the hardest. Not only are you grieving, but usually this has not been planned out months ahead. This is where Burnage Rugby Club’s place at the centre of the community of South Manchester really carries weight. When saying farewell to a loved one, you don’t want an impersonal corporate environment, you want somewhere that feels like it’s somewhere a family would feel comfortable.

FLEXIBLE CHOICES

More and more often now, people want to have the entire memorial service in the same place as the wake. This makes life so much easier for the elderly, so that instead of traipsing from place to place, they can make their farewells all in one venue. Here we have a variety of spaces that can be adapted to suit your needs exactly. There are two indoor rooms that can be used separately or together, and dressed in colours of your choice. There is also a covered seating area outside, which is a great help if there are children there who need a run around during the day. There is even a marquee which can be hired in the summer months. On occasion we have had the main family in there holding a ceremony, while this is streamed to the rest of the guests in the two inner rooms using the large screen TVs that are there.

CATERING

There are excellent catering options on offer. We can do in-house catering, ranging from finger buffet to sit down meal. However if you prefer, we are more than happy to work with an external caterer of your choosing. Talk it through with our experience team, and hopefully they can take away much of that organisational stress, which is so needed at this time.

The location in 11 acres of green fields is really lovely for a memorial service. Something of the tranquility of the setting steals into the event, and really this is just what you are looking for in a funeral. The mind turns naturally to the larger events of the world, and this helps to bring both focus and peace.

So get in touch today to discuss your options and budgets, and let the warmth of Burnage Rugby Club help you at this difficult time.
