Planning your Party – part 2
Transform Your Venue: A Party Planner’s Guide part 2
So, you’ve booked the perfect venue for your bash, and you have chosen your theme. Now comes the fun part: transforming it into Your Party! Armed with imagination and these top tips, you’ll have your guests wowed in no time.
Choose Your Menu
Food is central to any party. Whether you are going to have something that fits with your theme is your first choice, then tailoring what you want to budget. If you are having a cowboy party you might want it to be all bean and burritos! Most people opt for a buffet, and here at Burnage Rugby Club we can offer very competitive in-house deals. It’s always an option to bring in an external caterer if that’s what you want.
Lighting is Key
Lighting can completely change the feel of a room. Dim it down for a cosy, intimate atmosphere, or go bright and bold for a party that pops. Fairy lights, lanterns, and candles can add a magical touch, while uplighting can create a dramatic effect. Don’t forget to consider the dance floor – a disco ball or coloured spotlights can really get the party started.
Get Creative with Colour
Colour psychology can influence mood, so choose wisely. Bold colours can be energising, while pastels create a calming vibe. Don’t be afraid to mix and match, but remember, less is often more. A few pops of colour can make a big impact. Table cloths and chair colours can be used to great effect here. At BRC we have a range of colours for tables and chairs that you can build on to create your perfect ambience, or bring your own if you have a particular vision.
Flower Power
Flowers are a classic way to add beauty and fragrance to any event. From lavish bouquets to simple blooms, flowers brighten a place up, and you can emphasise colour if that is part of your them. Don’t forget about foliage – greenery can add texture and depth to your decor.
Think about adding extras
There are lots of fun things you can add to your party to help it along. Having a photobooth is always good fun. At Burnage Rugby Club we can put you in touch with people who provide extra fun at parties, just ask us. Again you can choose things that fit with your theme, or just have things that will be fun.
Personal Touches
Inject your personality into the space with personal touches. If it’s a birthday party pictures of yourself through the years, or if it’s Christmas go wild with red and green! Bring in things that are unique to you to make it personal.
Don’t Forget the Finishing Touches
The devil is in the detail! Little things like table settings, napkins, and place cards can make a big difference. Coordinate these with your overall theme for a cohesive look.
Remember, the most important thing is to have fun! With a bit of planning and creativity, you can transform any venue into a space that your guests will remember for years to come.
