Season 2023/24 was a period of significant evolution for the Club. We introduced several changes in rugby management, club administration, and the committee structure, all as part of a focused strategy to elevate our performance on and off the field. As we move into Season 2024/25, our aim is to build on the strong foundation we’ve established, with a continued emphasis on playing exciting and competitive rugby at both senior and junior levels.

Player recruitment at both the senior and junior levels remains strong, and I am particularly excited about the return of the mighty Burnage Vets this season.

Looking ahead, one of our primary goals for this season, beyond maintaining our competitiveness across all levels, is to further develop our junior pathways. We are committed to creating stronger bonds between our senior and junior sections, ensuring a unified and thriving club environment. With our excellent facilities and the unwavering dedication of our coaches and rugby administrators, these are indeed exciting times for Burnage Rugby.

I eagerly anticipate reconnecting with familiar faces and welcoming new ones throughout Season 2024/25. Let’s look forward to celebrating many great victories together in what promises to be another thrilling year of rugby at Varley Park.
